Cambridge in Color (via that other site)
  • That's what England should look like (except with some people going about their business.) If I actuallly get there someday, I may be disappoined when some of it looks like any other modern, industrial city.
  • I love it. Architecture, I think, is the only art form I really respect.
  • What's cool are the tutorials from this site. http://www.cambridgeincolour.com/tutorials.htm
  • aye, the tutorials are interesting. Have a pickle.
  • The tutorials irked me--not due to content, which was certainly accurate and adequate, but because Mr. McHugh has the temerity to copyright material that quite obviously he did not personally develop. I can find disturbingly similar materials written by others and not credited by McHugh. And it's not just that McHugh uses other peoples' work without credit, but that he then applies copyright. Feh! His color choices for skies to compensate for actual light are bereft of value also. And his mom dresses him funny.
  • OH MY GHOOOOD /ballmer chair throw
  • Fine pictures! Landscapes interest me more than architecture. Landscapes in England tend to look trim and carefully-groomed next to the rambunctious growths we're accustomed to in wilder and woolier parts. Whatever a photographer is/isn't like as a person, it won't affect my adniration -- or lack of admiration -- for his.her work.
  • That's what England should look like...if I actuallly get there someday, I may be disappoined when some of it looks like any other modern, industrial city. Amazingly, this is exactly what (the centre of) Cambridge looks like when everyone is tucked up in bed. I did my degree there and miss the place massively and these photos have reminded me of what a beautiful place it is. Admittedly the colours are a little "false", but the atmosphere is about right. I can heartily advise a visit there if you ever get the chance.
