The Farmers Wife - Images from the land of corn & soybeans
  • That is surely one of the most amazing insights I've ever seen. As a Londoner in the UK, I can only imagine the idea of the mid-west, and this blog is everything and thought it would be...including the ferrel cats and raccoons ;)
  • Yeah, it does capture it well. Minus the backwaters and methlabs, of course. :) Beautiful stuff, Argh, thanks.
  • Oh crap. This is like right where I'm from. That's my county fair, dammit. Now I'm homesick. :(
  • On rolling farmlands Erase the elevation and subtract the trees -- some day the Rocky Mountains will look like these.
  • Them's some purty pictures. Soo-eee.
  • Nice. Growing up in Nebraska (a land of corn and soybeans if there ever was one) I always thought of beauty as being found "someplace else": Rocky Mountains, seashore, Yosemite, etc. But then I read (more like "savored") Prairy Erth by William Least Heat Moon and now I see beauty even in the weeds of the ditches along the highways. A seriously paradigm-shifting book (for me).
