Our blurry Capitol: I was showing my brother-in-law the fly-by coolness of Google Earth when we noticed that the Capitol looked a little pixelated. Took a stroll over to the White House and saw what looks like a really bad photoshopping job.

Here's a challenge to Monkeys: Where else in the world have images been altered or de-rezed?

  • I would guess Area 51. If it existed. Which it never did. So mind your own business.
  • googlesightseeing has the whitehouse and lots of other interesting things. I didn't stay there long enough to check if they have a specific category for altered satellite photos. I think that for lots of secret places, you just can't zoom in all the way.
  • I heard that Mircosoft's version of this application has air-brushed Apple HQ off the face of the earth, replacing it with a v crappy photograph of a deserted warehouse. If it doesn't fit Big Bill's view, it doesn't exist!
  • Plum Island, home of USDA's Animal Disease Center does not "exist" on many maps. Here, you just can't zoom in. A very interesting read on this subject, Lab 257.
  • Although, MSN does a good job of providing high-res imagery for the same location!
  • It's well known that the Illuminati employ a device known as a photophific obfuscator at key location, to prevent verification of any of their operations. The only known way to defeat these divices is with a photophific obfuscator debunknifier. Google remains relatively unaware of these devices, and therefore can't really use them in concert with their map service.
  • It's only hiding the SAM units on the roof/s. Tinfoil hat rumor has it that the SAM units have been in place sine the mid 80's. If there aren't SAM sites, there will be one form of Anti Air defence or another. Area 51 is UNDER Whitesands, where sattelites can't see, kinda similar to the Atlantis Ressurection Project. (My Tinfiol hat is fimly back in place after a long absence)
