When Microsoft Flight Simulator's not enough. Some guys in L.A. built a 737 simulator in a home garage. Scroll from bottom to top on the updates page to watch three years of progress as panels, avionics, visual collimators, and other gadgets get added.
  • Update: Similar site from a guy in Florida who's done the same thing.
  • Yeah, ok, just as long as they don't teach anyone who only wants to know how to fly the plane and doesn't need to bother with takeoffs or landings.
  • You know, I reckon if I show this to a mate of mine, he'll probably start trying to build his own version.
  • Insane. Commendable.
  • To make the experience even more realistic, they make you wait outside the garage door for three hours before letting you in, not forgetting to subject you to a prodding of intimate parts you pass through the door. And what Chy said.
