Sita Sings the Blues. A new twist on an old myth, featuring our friend Hanuman (via bb).
  • Fantastique! Trippy. Bluesy. Dancing butterflies and gorgeous animation. The best thing I've seen in days - put a smile on my face.
  • Yes, it's wonderful. Thanks, Homunculus. gheehappy.com is cute, too.
  • Beautiful. Long, long download though.
  • This is cool.
  • Lovely, homunculus! The voice of an angel
  • Cool. The cute animations remind me a little of Ghee Happy's portraits of the gods.
  • ...Perfect Woman, and doormat ...Perfect Man, and jerk The old. old story.
  • I have a (perhaps silly) question - why is Rama depicted with blue skin? And yet Sita is not.
  • Traditional iconography portrays him so; Krishna is usually blue, too. Blue, being the colour of the sky and the sea, points toward transcendence when applied to other things. In Tibetan Buddhism -- which has its roots in India -- blue is the colour of transcendent wisdom -- Manjusri, embodiment of wisdom, is usually depicted as blue.
  • Paley's bandwidth got slammed, so you can get the movies from here or here.
  • New: FAQ and Letters (I'm pretty sure these weren't here before).
  • New episode: Battle of Lanka
  • With an army of axe and club-wielding monkeys!
  • She's making a feature film now, and hopes to be finished with it in 2008. Trailer. (If the .mov file doesn't load properly, it's also on Youtube)
