Meet James Ensor Much, much more inside.

(Each line is a new link) Meet James Ensor, Belgium

  • Me likie.
  • "Ensor lived through three major conflicts and all the art movements of the first half of this century, yet seems neither to have influenced them, nor to have been influenced by them." This is very great. I love the self portrait subtitled: yeah it's a lady's hat-so what?
  • This what I like about They Might Be Giants, I learn something and I get to enjoy a catchy little tune. More bands should be like this. Great idea, the_bone.
  • He lived with his mother and repeated himself. I love it! Great links, bone!
  • I'd say James Ensor is one Exquisite Dead Guy.
  • )))
  • Slides removed at the request of SABAM, a Belgian copyright collective representing reproduction rights Yet another brilliant marketing move by agents determined to keep their product from the eyes of the public who might buy it.
  • When I visited Bruge, I stayed in the hotel named after James Ensor. I seem to be the only person in the world who learned about him a hotel, rather than the TMBG song.
  • I was so excited when I finally saw a real Ensor painting in a museum. (I forget where... sorry. But it was not the Entry of Christ painting) The docent was not pleased when I started singing the song (softly... honest.)
