  • Yay Yo-Yo Ma! I loved his Soul of Tango.
  • I wanted to love the full Silk Road project, but I found that the full CD had too many things that my ears weren't used to. I've always loved Middle Eastern music, but would need to listen to stuff from the other areas over and over to understand the music. The "Caravan" CD seemed much more approachable to me. But I thought it was interesting, listening to the Silk Road and the Baroque and Appalachian Ma samples, how many hooks there are among them. It seemed to me that the common thread was Celtic, but is that possible?
