This land is your land. . . When was the last time you saw John Kerry on his knees before world leaders, clad in S&M gear and with a ball gag in his mouth? Or eyed President Bush looking sheepish in a red dunce cap?

Woody Guthrie's estate is not amused. I found it humorous and pretty well done. Cuts both ways, so everybody should be (un)happy.

  • seconding surly though - I like the Wired follow-up article. I suspect (along with Wired) that Guthrie would be among the last to demand an apology for this kind of fair use parody
  • I really really don't understand what is so funny about this. A million people have told me how great it is. I don't get it. But then again I also think that "badgers" thing is boring too.
  • I found it a bit stale and "off-message" in the sense that it was saying "both Bush and kerry suck so it doesnt matter who you vote for" -- perhaps made by a Nader supporter? At least they didnt make the mistake of pissing off Coolio, like Weird Al did. But badgers is freaking awesome dude!
