  • Here's SphereXP which is a spherical desktop replacement. I'm waiting for the dodecahedral version. It has twice the space of the cubic one.
  • I've never been able to understand how these UI's appeal to anyone. Bulky, gizmo-ey, and ultimately more trouble than they're worth.
  • I just tried that SphereXP, to see what it was like. Eeeeeuch. That's nasty.
  • Agreed- these are all pretty nasty. When running a bunch of apps and displaying several pages at once, I haven't seen anything to improve on virtual desktops. The *nix folks have had these for years, and there is Windows and Mac freeware available.
  • I was dragged kickin' and screamin' to MacOS X; always felt it slow and cumbersome, compared to 9.2's speed. But, lately, I miss it when working on a non-Panther Mac. The Expos
