Bush takes a Fall Michael Moore, on accepting the Palme d'Or from Cannes for his film "Fahrenheit 9/11", said of Dubya that he hoped "nobody tells him that I have won this award while he is eating a pretzel." No worries, Michael: he was riding his bike.
  • The irony is, of course, that if he was actually doing his job of running the fucking country, he wouldn't have fallen off.
  • An interesting quote from Trent Duffy, that's not in the Reuters article but is in the AP version: "You know this president. He likes to go all out. Suffice it to say he wasn't whistling show tunes.'' What the hell does that mean? Is it some reference to the President's rugged masculinity? Besides, why would he volunteer that information? I smell a coverup. Dubya probably was whistling show tunes... they'll try to claim it was something manly like Paint Your Wagon, when it was actually Gypsy.
  • words fail.
  • "I had a dreeeeeeeeeeam, a wonderful dream, papa, all about taking the government circuit. Gimme a chance and I know I can work it. I had a dreeeeeeeeeeam, just as real as can be, papa. There I was in the oval office and they was saying to me, 'George, get some faith-based organizations, get your men some boob-hiding curtains. Get a flight suit for big occasions; photographs on top of the Lincoln. Call the press out and in jig time you'll be being booked in the big time.' Oh, what a dreeeeeeeeeam.... A wonderful dream, papa. And all that I need is eighty-eight bil, papa." Sorry. That was way too embarassing. Can we pretend it never happened?
  • "You know this president. He likes to go all out. Suffice it to say he wasn't whistling show tunes." That's what they want you to think...
  • I posted here about how Bush compliment Scott Reid and Brit Hume about their pretty faces.
  • The previous Yahoo article says John Kerry did the exact same thing a month ago.
  • I knew the whole thing sounded familiar, Dawson.
  • It's the the only paralell I can think of between Bush and Bartlett...
  • Did the training wheels come off too early?
  • Another seizure.
  • The prez got road rash! Awesome!! /dudularly
  • i just have a question, is anyone from Texas? I read on Fark someone saying it hadn't rained in Texas so I went to weather.com and it has 0 inches as the percipitation for 5/17-5/23 for Crawford, TX. An inch can be quite a bit of water, do they not count below an inch? Or, are they fcking lying even about the weather?!?
  • lying, controlling - whatever. /adjusts hat
  • Here is the data for Waco, TX, which is pretty close to Crawford, TX. The column to look in is #7, the Water Precipitation column.
  • the_bone, that link was hilarious!
