The Gifts of the Magi : Artist P. Craig Russell has put his 1990 graphic novel of the O. Henry story up for all to read on his new website.

If you're a fan of Neil Gaiman, you'll have seen Russell's work in Sandman #50: Ramadan; the "Death in Venice" story in Endless Nights, and the recent graphic-novel versions of The Dream Hunters and Coraline. He's also well known for his opera adaptations, including his two-volume Ring of the Nibelung, as well as his work on Michael Moorcock's Elric series. His bio for one of the Gaiman collaborations: "You can call him an opera-loving pre-Raphaelite. Just don't call him P."
