  • Niiiiiice! Must've been a fun thing to find.
  • I see a MythBusters episode coming, if they haven't done it already. That English Russia site is full of neat stuff like this sand sculpture page.
  • I hate to be a downer, but this isn't as rare as you'd think. Modern battlefields had bullets basically filling the air. Go to Gallipoli and you can see museum cases full of these things.
  • When I was young, I went to the Civil War museum near Gettysburg PA, and they had (at least) one of these, two fused musketballs. Like Dreadnought says, on some of those battlefields there was a heck of a lot of lead in the air.
