The Pre-Raph Pack
is a nice site based around Birmingham's large collection of pre-Raphaelites, with details of artists, techniques, and the Brotherhood.

As I've been reading Camille Paglia's Sexual Personae on the train every day, and had gotten to her essay, Decadent Art, covering the productions of these same artists, I must be in sync with Plegmund. It's amazing to see his informative post just now. Even if some Pre-Raphaelite painting might actually fit the theory of romantic decadence, it's generally fresh looking to my eye. And now I know why. The description here of the wet-white technique looks like the ticket, and I'm planning to hop that train!
