A Wayback Machine from Google. For fun, Google gives us its state of the art as of January, 2001. Search whatever you like: I found September 11 to be interesting, as were:

"Barack Obama" "Sarah Palin" Have more fun on your own.

  • Of course... Monkeyfilter
  • Look who the #1 Wendell was back then, with a blog that did NOT include my name in the title (a domain name that I since lost to domain squatters, who have now told archive.org to 'nofollow' and lose ALL past records of it, mumble grumble). Now, with Wendell.Me, I seem to have fallen off the Google Top 1000 Wendells. Of course, if all you Monkeys who have your own blogs would give my new address a linky, we might just wake the Googlemonster and make it aware I'm still here. (The Goog hasn't banned me entirely, but the Technorati page for Wendell.Me shows up before the actual blog. WTF?)
  • Heh. There are more results for me than Palin. Guess I should make a run for office.
  • Fascinating. I was able to pull up some of my old online ramblings from 1996 - - which are probably too deeply buried in the current google index for me to stumble upon.

  • I was embarrassing back then.
  • By the way, have you noticed the new Google listing for MoFi? Note the second sub-link, the one that mentions a famous actor.
