See you on the Dark Side of the Moon Founding member of the Pink Floyd, Richard Wright, has died.
  • ugh. I am really not looking forward to number 3 on this set. :(
  • .
  • Never really my thing, but godspeed, Richard.
  • I always disliked Pink Floyd's music. It always sounded to me more like mood music than anything else. I think I particularly did not like the sound of the vocals or something. In the limited Pink Floyd music I have heard, the vocals always sound like they are being run through something. Perhaps I would like it better if there were no effects used on the vocals.
  • Although I've moved on from The Floyd, they were a defining moment for me, especially DSotM. I even have a copy of Rick Wright's rather unimpressive solo album. I considered him to be the "George Harrison" of the band - the quiet one. This "people you know getting old and dying" thing kinda sneaks up on ya.

  • You're all Philistines! I mean, I never admit that I find Beethoven pompous, do I? RIP Rick.
  • Sad news. He was the guy who made the opening of Wish You Were Here so fantastic (plus lots more besides, obv). .
