How a small town loses a bank.
  • For those of us in the banking industry, this is no campfire-story stuff, either. My bank just completed taking over a small town, possibly hurting bank. Even though I'm (relatively) anonymous here, I wouldn't discuss details, but this is not going to be isolated. This is going to get worse. I want to work in horticulture.

  • my local credit union went under a while ago... same reason, Florida real estate... the dow dumped 400 points today.. I've dumped one car... me and the wife are sharing now..I ride the bike when I can... Boston Whaler, makers of one of the best boats in the world just closed down for a month, boats aren't selling.. GM closed four more truck/suv plants this week.. things.just.generally.suck
