How to Be a Brainiac. Memorizing make you smart! Or should I say "more smart"! Put away the little notepad and exercise your brain. Remember stuff. Start with this poem.
  • And while you're doing all that...here's a peek inside what happens inside yer memorizing brain.
  • Yes, here at Brainiac Village, not only is there peace and quiet but also a certain melancholy lonesomeness. *gets out harmonica*
  • /rolls out the tumbleweed I thought the poem was true for me. How many times has some piece of trivia been on the edge of my brain -- I know I know it! -- but I can't quite extract it.
  • There are no phones in that fishing village.
  • Not many people here interested in being a brainiac it seems.
  • I refuse to acknowledge defeat. I'm going to make this the popular thread on MoFi if i have to post all the comments myself! Oh.
  • I make it a point to memorize a new poem every once in a while, just to add to the collection. Reciting the lot in my head is a good time-killer on the bus if I haven't brought a book.
  • By coincidence, I've just started doing this myself. I'm taking a voice class and every two weeks we get to stand up and recite something. So far I've got three poems done and working on a fourth. The neat thing is that it seems to be easier as I go along. But I should ask you TUM, got any tips for memorizing poems?
