Scrollovers are a way to quickly and easily add flare to your web pages, giving your users an experience they weren't expecting.
  • *sniff sniff*
  • At last, something to replace the beloved blink tag.
  • OK where's my panda
  • an experience they didn't expect or enjoy.
  • flare?
  • "Flair" is distinctive elegance or style. A FLARE is a flashy thing that means you need help. Come to think of it, maybe 'flare' is more appropriate...
  • And it's rocket88 by a nose.
  • "Yeah. You know what, yeah, I do. I do want to express myself, okay. And I don't need 37 pieces of flair to do it." --Office Space
  • Thank you, NoScript.
  • It's cute. A one trick pony that'll get old really fast, though.
  • i like the little delay before it scrolls. just long enough to be infuriating.
  • Oh, BIG wow That is worth the effort of putting on a web page? That was worth the effort of a FPP? That was worth the effort of my criticism? I think not. *blinks, stares
  • I think I'll do mine in super-subtle color changes so people will think there's just something wrong with the link.
  • It's not Web 2.0 until the scrollovers have a foreshadow. And embedded MIDI files.
  • I'll do mine in white and white on a white background. Yeah, you TRY and find that link, you web-site-visiting bastards!
  • if the logo's not in 3d and doesn't say 'beta' in lower case letters somewhere, it's not Web 2.0. This is different, but not especially delightful or necessary. meh.
  • *quickly adds to MoFi code*
  • On a sort of, okay, maybe not at all, related note: Web 1.0 YouTube.
  • Doesn't work in Safari. Definitely an experience I wasn't expecting.
  • Thank god, I thought it was just me (safari too)
  • Well, no one writes scripts for deviants.
  • Au contraire. Scripts are deviant. That's why I wouldn't want to survive the Web without NoScript (even though it updates annoyingly often).
  • I find it maddeningly addictive. I keep going back to that site and mousing over it. I haven't figured it out yet, but there has to be tremendous comedic potential if you were to hack the js to change the message on rollover.
  • Trac: I looked in the code, but can't seem to get it to work. No flair, no blink, no scrolling marquee, no large-- WHAT KINDA CHEAP WEBSITE IS THIS, ANYWAY???? _______ [POOP] _______ _______ [POOP] _______ _______ [POOP] _______ _______ [POOP] _______
  • love the web 1.0 youtube, ND
