Teh funnay is found in the conflation of the netspeak "ur," intended to mean "you're" (as in the beginning of this meme from the game Starcraft, "im in ur base killin ur doodz") with the ancient Mesopotamian city of Ur, which is long gone. It's homonym-based humor for net nerds who know a little something about ancient history.
Removing the expected noun following "im in ur" now makes it look like you're actually saying "I'm in the city of Ur." Adding the pic background and juxtaposing the language of teh d00dz with ancient history makes teh funnay.

So sad about the kitten. I wish they'd have just put it down instead of spending thousands of dollars on it and having it be in pain. Yes, perhaps it will live a good life after months of healing, but that money could have been better spent on spay/neuter or shots, etc for healthy animals. Just MO. I know others feel differently.

I call 'boo' on this one. Doesn't look alike at all. The one on the right has a mobile expressive face, full of interest and compassion. The eyes have a spark of intelligent inquiry. The curve of the mouth indicates shows good humor, and the whole demeanor indicates a thoughtful, mature outlook. Not to mention that's a nice haircut. I know who I'd rather spend time with.
