Is that really possible? If you thought putting in low temperature radiators, neons, and custom window jobs was usually the work of a car enthusiast, think again! Aren't you tempted to join the fun?
  • Excellent post! My fave case-mod of all time is the Millenium Falcon as shown here: http://www.xkill.net/rcaslis/computers/Falcon-making/
  • Wow Dizzy that's cool. I did my first computer mod over the summer. Custom window on the side of a Chieftec Case (as used by Alienware), overhead window that looks down on the burner drive (which also has a window in it so you can see the cd spinning). I also have two blacklights, UV reactive fans, and a custom paint job to the whole thing. I wish I had some pics...
  • I'm not into the modding so much, but if you're looking for a quieter computer, this is a great resource.
  • I've never understood the appeal. The phrase "Polishing an elephant turd" comes to mind.
  • Ouch. Buzzkill, dude.
  • That is so riced out! I loved it! If you have your computer [beige] in the living room, say, why not turn it into a scultpture or piece of art. And these are pieces of art, make no mistake. Totally geekish, [wait, I don't mean that, it's like being ageist or sexist or, or...call it what you will, but...] yet! they're the most original sculptures to date. You could pack your aquarium away and make one of these puppies and it'll have way more effect on your ambience. Damn! When you think about the amount of time some people spend in their cars and they customize them to an inch of their life, it really makes sense to do it to your computer and keyboard et al. This makes so much sense to me, I can't believe it. Thanks. That is the wickedest! You wanna talk about original? That is totally fucking original. Big up! Let's see those photos genial, damnit! Dizzy alluded to this, but you can't beat [just about] the look of the the ToAst0r

Ouch, although I don't consider my computer on the same scale as animal dung. I'm an Art Major in college so it makes sense that I would be a freak about stuff like this. Even minimal things like my desktop background and icon layout are important to me. Can we say obsessive compulsive? hehe
  • I appreciate the fact that the ToAstOr CreaAtOr made the desktop on his computer the same pattern as the blanket he's rested his l33t creation upon.
  • I've never underst00d the h4cker orthography.
  • I do. I'm t3h 733t.
  • Please stop it. You are screwing things up in ways you might not comprehend. Maybe I'm just silly.
  • Oh, no, I have bought into the bizarre world of J. Derrida.
  • Wait, my bad. I meant to challenge someone else here.....
