Abstract Caricatures You'll probably get most of these without looking at the title, but you probably won't understand why.
  • I loved the first Picasso one; he looks a little bewildered by the art around him.
  • Nice stuff, Alex. Cheers!
  • Wow. I say, wow. What a great way to start the day! (Whoopi Goldberg looks like a cross between Audrey II and Crow T. Robot!)
  • Great site. Madge was especially good, and I liked the one of Roberto Benigni, too.
  • wow. thats a great site (thanks AA) and some really beautiful art!
  • Some neat stuff on the Illustrations page too.
  • )))!!!
  • Forgot: via Drawn
  • I didn't get many of those caricatures, but that's because I don't even know who most of them are in RL.
  • just wondering Alex Ander, my understanding is that i recognized them because they looked like the people they were caricaturing.... did i miss something?
  • Lovely. But I want oil. Pencil is just too . . . scratchy.
  • Wonderful, great link. =)
  • Well the recognisable physical features are pretty basic. A fat figure in a black suit could be Alfred Hitcock, it could be Orson Wells...I thought I recognised that one and others like the Woody Allen one because I recognised the gestalt being expressed rather than exagerated physical features.
  • And that what was why I wondered why the pictures resembled what I recognised them to be.
