Google Web Accelerator back for now, anyway. It's been showing up advertised at the bottom of my Google searches all day. WinXP/2kSP3+, optimized for broadband. (What happened to accelerating the web for those of us who actually need it accelerated?)

I immediately sent it to the guys at DownloadSquad, but reconsidered when filling out the post form here - perhaps I was just dense, and it'd been around for a while? But obviously not, since they posted it. Accelerate away, you lucky broadband users.

  • Well, I installed it and it accellerated my annoyance by instantly breaking my Firefox navigation and favorites toolbars. Had to manually rebuild them. Zoom, zoom, zoom.
  • What version of Firefox? I haven't installed it, given that I'm on dialup on a laptop running Windows 98 since my desktop died.
  • 1.5
  • It dosen't work for me at all. Actually, it keeps locking firefox up. -deletes-
