London Meetup Again! Hurrah!

Lovely Miss Neddy is coming to town - perfect excuse for a meetup. Sunday Nov 1st, Mon Nov 2nd, Tue Nov 3rd? What suits people best? Where shall we go? What shall we do? What larks shall we have?

  • No need to pout, I'm also going to Canada and the US! Whee! My schedule is still slightly tentative, but something like this: Nov 1-5 : London Nov 6-9 : County Clare, Ireland (Discworld Convention) Nov 10-14 : Canada (with Melinika) Nov 15-20 : Various parts of California, including San Diego, Oakland and Los Angeles. Nov 21-25 : Tokyo (with gomichild) So, everyone who's in travelling distance to the places I'm going to, interested in a meetup?

  • errr... Lower right side I think (Ontario, nearish to New York). *runs and hides from tracicle*
  • Sunday Nov 1st, Mon Nov 2nd, Tue Nov 3rd? Sunday or Monday, please! What larks shall we have? I propose the inaugural live monkeyfilter podcast. Presumably we can just plug a microphone into Al's laptop and press the POD button - I dunno about these things.
  • Hmmm Weekday would be best.

  • Can we do a podcast (technically speaking)? I would like to, and it would be fun. Why don't we meet in the Notting Hill place, as per last (?) time?

  • Love to! But grateful input from others; if it's more convenient to pub it, as per tradition, so be it. I worry that some may quake to cast their pod so ad-hocly (personally, I'm all for it).
  • *pouts anyway* Yeah. When Neddy's in California, I'll be in Australia. Exactly those days. Hilarious!
  • So is this happening or not?
  • Did podcast scare everyone off? Okay, back to plan A: Same pub as last time, The Chepstow on Chepstow Place, nearest tubes Notting Hill Gate/Bayswater/Queensway, from 7pm. Neddy and DiMMN and I will be there, at least. Casting pods may or may not happen, depending on how the evening progresses.

  • I'm here! Got an A class welcome from mothninja, DiMMN and the puppies. So who's game enough to come? As usual, there are little prezzies for people who show up (^_^)
  • This could play havoc with my Nanowrimo schedule.
  • Pleg, Neddy and I are nanowrimo-ing also -- perhaps we should all sneak off into a corner of the pub for half an hour of *intense* writing before the beers....
