Doctor Horrible's Sing-Along Blog See, apparently Joss Whedon got bored during the writer's strike and... well... Neil Patrick Harris as Doctor Horrible, struggling supervillain! With songs!
  • Holy cow, that's awesome. I want more.
  • Tomorrow!
  • Balls.
  • Yeah, I'm out of town for the next four days and may miss the rest of these before they're yanked. Hopefully not, because part one was fun fun.
  • I think you better cancel your trip, mct. This isn't the kind of thing you want to miss.
  • That was quite charming :)
  • P.S. "ACT ONE (Wheee!) will go up Tuesday July 15th. ACT TWO (OMG!) will go up Thursday July 17th. ACT THREE (Denouement!) will go up Saturday July 19th. All acts will stay up until midnight Sunday July 20th. Then they will vanish into the night, like a phantom (but not THE Phantom – that’s still playing. Like, everywhere.) " So don't forget and not watch it!
  • This isn't the kind of thing you want to miss. Fucking Batman is that weekend, too, and I had been planning to go to a midnight show on Thursday. This trip is for a wedding, and I've sent the groom some firmly worded emails about his wedding planning skills.
  • Wedding's are fucking boring "Oh, I love you", "Oh I love you too, we're totally having sex tonight" and then everybody's like "awwwww...." like you didn't see THAT one coming, and QUICK TO THE OPEN BAR because nobody's happy to be there and you desperately need to be drunk just to make it through the next fucking hour until you can make a graceful exit from the goddamn reception, meanwhile, Neil Patrick Harris is plotting world domination AND YOU'RE MISSING IT Or, at least, that's what my wedding was like. Boy, that Neil Patrick Harris, always up to something!
  • OK, is it really geeky that I still happened to be up at a while after midnight, and I went to the site and part II is already up! Well, it is!
  • And it's good.
  • MCT, why don't you get someone with iTunes to download the episodes for you?
  • They'll be available for a small fee after 7/20.
  • Wow, that was really great. I think this pushed me over the edge, I'm going to have to check out Buffy the Vampire Slayer now.
  • 3 Dr. Horribles is not enough.
  • (some spoilerage for the first two parts below) Part Two was measurably less awesome than Part One (too much Romantic Musical content, including the point-counterpoint song that screams out "look at me! I'm clever!" and, yes, I know it's low budget, but just referring to the Freeze Ray confrontation and not showing any of it? Come on.) But toward the end when Dr. Horrible finally brought out his Inner Evil, it sets up a potentially BOFFO Part Three. Neil Patrick Harris was also excellent announcing the Emmy nominations this morning. He is on the fast track to becoming LEGEN... wait for it, wait for it... DARY!
  • My prediction: Moist uses his super power to get the girl.
  • crap, that wasn't small enough. I should've checked first.
  • This is my new favorite thing.
  • I may have to come into work on the weekend just to watch part 3.
  • Part 3 was up and IT IS AWESOME! I need more. Much more.
  • *Applauds*
  • Oh My.
  • $5.97 from ITunes. Worth it, in my opinion, but free is better.
  • Damnit. I forgot about episode 3...
  • I got a Season Pass of Dr. Horrible off iTunes for $3.99, so maybe it's cheaper now?
  • Ok, so if you missed this, and you're too cheap to buy it, it's available for free again, but with ads. Go watch it already!
  • I hate Whedon with no remorse, But THIS was AWESOME! Signed, Bad Horse.
  • It was pretty cool back when I watched it, when it was just on for those three days, but now that it's available everywhere and all the poseurs are getting "into" it, I don't know, it just seems like it sucks now. /sneers, goes back to reading Believer magazine
  • Bah. If it's good, it's good.
  • Also, as an attempt to create a business model, its success--and possibly the success of future ventures not funded by big studios and first released via the web--hinges on having more than an 11 elite viewers.
  • I'm kidding ;)
  • I am way, way more elite than Nick.
  • I'm not really into the whole "elite" scene anymore.
  • See what I mean?
  • Quiet you, I'm trying to listen to some music with "-core" in its description.
  • Hearing Nathan Fillion tell us what the hammer is = worth the price of admission all by itself.
  • Nick, unfortunately for you, it is now considered cool to bash the people who hate Doctor Horrible because it's too popular. YOU SUCK! Sorry man - you snooze you lose.
  • DAMMIT
  • Pallas Athena, buying the DVD will be worth it for the outtakes of that scene alone.
  • Hee hee hee. Can't wait.
  • THERE WILL BE A SEQUEL. Okay, a part 4, thanks #2 for the CORRECTION.
  • Yay!
