ImplosionWorld
  • The city rat in me just hates to see great old buildings destroyed. Not to mention that these images remind me a little too much of these.
  • Actually, I almost didn't post it because it reminded me, too, of seeing the towers fall (the first from four blocks away, the second from Chinatown). But thought the link was interesting enough to give it a go. (If I don't post it, the terrorists win!) Actually the WTC Q&A on the site is interesting, especially as it was written in October of 2001 and is a kind of look back in time.
  • Yeah, I was reading through that Q&A just a moment ago. What an odd and random way to make a living, eh? So much better than "I'm in web hosting".
  • When I was 12 firecrackers and blowing up balsa-wood planes and spray-painted Enterprises in the backyard was IT-- there could be nothing as fun. Now at 41 a thunderclap and I'm standing up at the window, faster than my cat.
  • The pictures of bridges coming down are wild. So coordinated, they're graceful. Here are some videos that captured my attention.
  • I saw fireworks in Sussex this year. There were many big bangs, very close to me. It was scary and fun.
  • Fireworks. I'm for them.
  • Not right now, thanks, I'm busy doing a completely pointless thing.
  • This is kind of the opposite of fireworks, isn't it?
  • I'm all for anything that blows up, burns or does rampant acts of random destruction.
  • Uh...like Zorro!
  • Alnedra, you're a natural to join a Guy Fawkes Bonfire Society.
