Meaningful Swedish socks
In remembrance of September 11,2001, I designed a sock which will climb the steps of hope and courage in our hearts.

If I was going to design a sock, I wouldn't make it that ugly. I would incorporate a monkey, or possibly a banana. No, wait! A monkey AND a banana.
Ugly September 11 socks, yes.
Swedish September 11 socks, no.
I want to be as polite as possible in the way I say this, but: Please realize that many people would see this as in incredibly bad taste. Their perception (like mine, to be honest) would be that using the 9/11 tragedy to sell socks is exploitative -- to them, you're trading on the memory of the people who died on 9/11 to sell . . . socks. If you were doing something with the profits -- donating a portion to some 9/11 fund, or something -- that might be different. But as is, not cool. Sorry.

I don't have steps of hope and courage in my heart. I do have an elevator of morbid curiosity and a ramp of apathy and nonchalance, but I usually wear flip-flops when riding those, since they both lead to the beach of satisfaction in my heart.
An elevator to the beach? Lazy American.

This is just tacky, and I hope Joslyn, whoever she is, loses her fingers in a tragicomic knitting accident as soon as possible.

Someday MoFi will grow so large that, like Metafilter, it will need to close registration. After a couple of years of gnashing their teeth on the sidelines the MoFi shutouts will go forth and build a *filter of their own.
If they call it SockFilter I swear to Pan I will hunt all of them down, and all of you as well.
