Recycled tintype images - strange and lovely rearrangements of bits of very old photos. Seen at Ample Sanity

"Although my images are not traditional photographs, I definitely think of my scanner as a light-sensitive recording device. And there is a camera involved in making most of the images…it just happens that the camera was used over 100 years ago by a photographer who remains anonymous."

Thanks, fish tick, I enjoyed that very much. You might conceivably like this bloke's stuff. Different, but for my money a similar vibe.

Very cool! Thanks fishy. I like that the pics were good-natured. I love painted-black-and-white images, although I suppose this is all digital. Still, good stuff.

Very interesting. Very strange.

So, is this photog day?
